Pete Ramage has fairly quickly undergone surgery for the cruciate ligament (knee) injury he suffered last Sunday against Middlesbrough.
Rather surprisingly Peter was not sent over to Vail, Colorado to the Steadman-Hawkins clinic but was operated on in London. It could be that while the injury is of course serious, there were no complications.

The news after the operation is good as it was a complete success and it was said to be a 70% tear, which is quite serious of course..
It’s bad luck for Peter who was just waiting for a chance to impress the new manager when he suffered the worst injury of his career. Peter’s a good lad and dedicated to Newcastle and we wish him a speedy and a complete recovery.
Newcastle now have six injuries with Emre back on the injury list with a thigh strain. Babayaro is still out with a groin strain but is due to return to training on 17rh September along with Joey Barton, who seems to be recovering well from his metatarsel fracture.

I was hoping I wouldn’t ever see this sort of inbred nonsense on this site. He might not be the best player around, but his attitude is fantastic and he doesn’t deserve to be crocked. As it is, it’s worked in our favour as his injury has seen Habib Beye brought in.

Not a Peter Ramage fan myself , but seeing a whole hearted player getting a serious injury is sad.
