FT: Newcastle 0 Bolton 0 - Newcastle Unlucky

Newcastle United camped out in the Bolton Wanderers half, in the last 45 minutes this afternoon, but were unable to get the goal that would have given Newcastle a well earned victory.

Bolton came into this game to try to get a draw, and packed their midfield, and played a spoiling game to try to stop Newcastle playing, and it basically was successful, as the Lancashire side came away with a point. From the Bolton viewpoint it was a well earned draw, and they played a good containing game - and looked well coached by Gary Megson.

In the first half it was an even game with no chances at all to either side, but in the second half Newcastle increased the pace of the game and it seemed Bolton were willing to try to absorb the Newcastle pressure. The problem Newcastle had in the first half was that Rozehnal and N’Zogbia couldn’t get a hold of midfield, but in the second half Newcastle controlled the game well, but didn’t have any cutting edge up front.

There were not too many clear cut chances and a couple of times Ameobi seemed to be brought down in the penalty box, but TV replays showed Ameobi looking each time for the penalty. The nearest Newcastle got to scoring, was when a cross from James Milner forced Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen into his first save, as he tipped the ball over the cross bar.

Newcastle played well, especially after the interval, and looked well organized, particularly in defense. However, Newcastle could have done with capturing all 3 points this afternoon, which they really deserved. But then again Newcastle didn’t have enough of a cutting edge.

And then after 90 minutes Bolton almost pulled off the complete smash and grab raid when JLoyd Samuel, following a corner, had Bolton’s only chance of the game, but he had his shot well saved by Irish goalkeeper, Shay Given, as he blocked the shot well with his left leg.

If Bolton had scored then it would have been really rough justice on a decent performance from Newcastle.

True to his word Kevin Keegan had Newcastle moving forward, especially after the beak.

The back four played well for Newcastle and both full backs Carr and Enrique had good games. Rozehnal started slowly in the first half but had a much better game in the second half as Newcastle United dominated. The question was then whether they could get that one goal and 3 points. As it turned out they couldn’t, but it wasn’t for the want of trying.

Smith and Butt will both be back for the game at Arsenal next Saturday and Keegan will have a full week to prepare the side.

We would have liked all 3 points, but the performance from the lads was encouraging, with lots of our players unavailable.

Comments very welcome.

Happy with the result. Keegan can not wave a magic wand & it will take till next season. We’re work in progress. Bring on next season.

  • 2 AlexW // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:13

“times Ameobi seemed to be brought down in the but”

i dint know he was that way inclined lol

  • 3 MattyDread // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:14

You’ve got to admit Bolton came with a game plan and it worked. What we’ve just witnessed is exactly what a game involving Bolton is all about. They aren’t interested in playing football. Their tactics were epitomised when Mcann left the pitch (eventually). He’ll always be a Mackem as far as I’m concerned.

  • 4 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:15

Bolton is an annoying team. They never had intentions to play football. If this is the way they play every week, then for me they can go down ASAP!!!

On the other hand we weren’t able to create a descent chance. KK has lots of work to do.

Milner - really poor performance ‘again!!!
N’Zogbia - runs too long with the ball, can’t kick a descent free kick

Rozehnal - really played a good game. A few fantastic long balls ehind their defenders.
Our defence was very good (Cacapa and Taylor played full of confidence; Enrique starts to play good and Carr did an okay job)
Thank you Given to save that last minute Samuel strike, cause if that went in it would have been one of the most undeserved wins of the season.
Ameobi - played good (remeber that it has been a long time since he played on this level)
Owen - did not get good delivery, but that will better when KK has got the time to work with his players.
Duff - was okay, but did nothing special today.

  • 5 Callum // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:16

Its a clean sheet so its a starts :)

  • 6 Howie // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:16

in my opinion we need a big striker who can hold the ball. viduka always unfit. sholas a donkey. we also need a creative influence in midfield.

  • 7 MattyDread // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:16

I hope KK saw enough of Ameobi tonight.

  • 8 Gilly // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:17

Need that spark in the middle of the park to break teams down.

  • 9 phoonCK // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:17

well, at least we stopped at 4lost on the trot right? its a gd start, look at the positives.. clean sheets, missing 1st team players, bolton came with a plan to destroy the party and not play football, we dominated, we attacked, we PLAYED football..

KING KEV’s the Special One, but not GOD and will not have instant result. be patient. i believe this is the time to start believing..

    ~am stil in KEEGAN WONDERLAND

    phoonCK - well said.

  • 11 lull // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:19

Was a good game on our side me thinks. Gary Megson were planning to ruin the party and he did :( He’s tactic was 8-2-0 :D The only downside is Ameobi on the pitch

  • 12 goalcentre.com // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:19

    Same old story.

  • 13 ToonKing // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:20

“Newcastle Unlucky”, Ed?? more like Newcastle Poor. but there were positives and if the ref wasn’t a mackum we could have got at least 1 penalty.
It isn’t the best result as we got some tough games coming our way…we should have done better today. the big players like Zog and Duff should have risen more to the occasion. Owen was starved of balls again. Shola is still shite even with Keegan :) and so is Milner.

I can’t wait for the players were missing to come back.
I can honestly say that my favorite players today were Rozy and Carr. The only ones to really fight with passion and stuck in, Carr actually was really good in the last 20 mins.

KK’s got a lot of work.

  • 14 Loisss // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:21

To me, considering the circumstances (injuries, suspensions, players at the ANC), it was a good performance, way better than the ones with Big Sam… Having Viduka fit (damn calf injuries), Newcastle would have won… It’s easy to say after the game, but I actually had the same idea than Keegan : putting Rozenhal in CM with N’Zogbia. And it worked… He needed time to adapt but he progressed during the game… Ironically, we get a clean sheet… while playing the ball to the ground, and attacking, with most players playing at their natural positions…
That’s what we were saying all along, right Sam?

  • 15 milnerfan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:21

sounds like a good result, we’ve a few first team players out due to suspension or ACN. So personally 1 point out the game is alot better than us losing. bolton would have come here with a lot of confidence due to us having a weak team fielded

  • 16 stantos // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:23

it could be worse we could be bolton fans travelling to watch tactics like that. Pathetic excuse of a team. With a bit more invention we would of murdered em, KK will make massive changes, bolton were always gonna play like that. Frustrating !!!!!!

  • 17 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:24

ToonKing - I completely agree Carr and Roz played a good game and showed their fighting spirit on the pitch.
Also the young LuaLua immediately was in the game; almost a cracking opening pass. Good for our future all those youngsters.

We need the time to build things again and then we will back be the force of the 90’s.

  • 18 JJ // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:25

Happy with he second half. I though Rozenhal played superbly in midfield (far better than Butt or Smith).
I would like to see a work horse who can keep possession up front ie: Smith in a Strikers role plus he has more pace than Viduka.
Zog isnt ready for CM role but I think at the moment is a better LM than Duff so would have him there.
Erique impressed me except for looking a bit too casual occasionally.
Taylor and Casapa look good but Taylor needs to stop giving possession away with sloppy passing.
Carr is crap so we need Beye back and our defense should be ok.
BUT in midfield we still desperatley need a creative player like Arshavin or Emre to be in the team.
Bridge would be great at LB and Wright Phillips would give Milner some stiff competion and add great pace and depth to the squad.
Transfers: Sell nobody. Buy: Wright Phillips, Bridge and Arshavin please.

  • 19 JJ // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:26

Ps: Lua Lua did look very good as an impact player : )

  • 20 Vitorbarbosa // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:27

We played well. The result is the only thing lack from this match. We controlled the 2nd half, without doubt but well, we aren’t creating much. Honestly, I enjoy watching the team played today compared to previous matches.

Maybe we lack of something…. confidence, creativity?

I have never thought our team will be threaten by relegation until this season. Everytime when we started badly, I know, we still can move up the table and achieve respectable position. But under BSA, the worry really came to me. We never play football except in a few matches, and don’t seems convincing at all.

Thank god. If today’s performance is the benchmark, 40 points is not a problem at all. Don’t write the season off, because this might be the beginning of a great era. An era started not when it’s at the top, it’s started at the bottom. Though people only remember great times, but hard work is being done in difficult times.

  • 21 carl // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:27

good platform for kev to start on, we were poor but it only highlights what areas need strengthening, i can see a few transfers hapening next week.i think keegan will sign 3 quality players who will go straight into the team, hopefully before the arsenal games. bring on next season

  • 22 JJ // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:28

Your right Loiss, play play football, we attack, we keep possession and our defense is under less pressure which results in a clean sheet. (note to Big Sam).

  • 23 carl // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:30

    buy, bridge,v,der vaart,carrick

  • 24 Neil A H // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:32

It looks like Rozehnal could be great cover at defensive midfield. He had two brilliant passes, one in the first half which Owen’s initial touch on the ball ruined and the other that was just a tad too far for Milner. He was very good after a slow start. Enrique was good but still had lapses. Ameobi was awful. I wish Carroll had started instead.

  • 25 Normag // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:33

Milner cant manage to put in a decent cross!

  • 26 Ashton // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:33

f***in bolton are disgrace to football !!
they were playing with 10 defenders bollocks !

  • 27 Kevin // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:34

Agree with ToonKing and Obafan. I couldn’t believe that I was consistently happy with Carr’s performance tonight. Although I know Roz was playing a bit out of position - but he was still poor for me tonight. Many spoiled opportunities and possession because of his sloppy ball control. Milner and Duff were off - they’ll be back. But consistency is somthing which has been lacking for a while, and it’s necessary in today’s game.
Owen and Ameobi were only fine. Neither of them are ready yet. But again - all these excuses are not acceptable for a premiership team. Period.
SuperShay - once again - saved our humps tonight.

  • 28 Kevin // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:35

One other thing I’d like to address is the “fans” streaming out of the stadium in the 88th minute!! What’s that about??

  • 29 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:36

JJ - would be three good signings and i would add by those 3 Dean Ashton, as he really is impressing me this season.

  • 30 carl // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:37

i hope kk pulls the strings on some transfers, we are desperate for creativity and a good right winger.

  • 31 carl // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:38

kevin, you ever tried getting out of st james on a match day? its only to beat the traffic

  • 32 ToonRich // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:40

I’m with the guys that have praised Roz and Carr for tonights performance. I thought Roz may have has a stinker, but he did settle & looked half decent in the 2nd half. Is it just me, or has Carr regained some lost pace?or perhaps boltons players made him look quick!!!

Dont rate shola much, wouldnt mind giving Smith a shot up top with MO as he isnt as lazy as Viduka!
I think Zog and Enrique need to learn to pass a little quicker and milner needs to work on his crossing.

Definately need a creative mid, and I’m sure KK had players in mind.

  • 33 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:42

Ashton - indeed I was really frustrated by the way Bolton played. Every tile a team plays to stop the amusement the FA should take points away from them. So Bolton would be under nil.

Kevin - I thouhgt Roz payed very good, but indeed his ball control is not always of a high quality, which costs him time or possession.

Taylor was announced MOTM, I thought Cacapa deserved it a bit more.

  • 34 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:43

ToonRich - maybe DECO to fill the creativity hole which we have now…

  • 35 ToonRich // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:44

Also, great to see young Lua Lua getting some game time…He looks a confident young man, should certainly develop under KK with flair and attack in mind :-)

It was annoying to see Nolan telling his players from the sideline to nail people…

  • 36 Greg P // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:44

We kept the ball down which was a bonus, but without a central midfield, and with Owen and Cacapa who were frankly disgraceful it was a decent point. Bolton were excellent (whatever you think of their tactics).
We’ve got some decent players, but need a central midfielder and defender in the next week or so, and then let KK assess what he has.

  • 37 The black in the blacknwhite // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:46

im not disappointed, the fact of the matter is we had a depleted squad, and the Alladyce rot will take time to evaporate-

the menatity of attacking football must become second nature to the players-, but we saw today that caution and the inablity to get into forward space, the tendency to pass back, and remain in rigid positions is something King kev has to work on

but i do hope he has noticed a few things

Milner- folks we have to admit milner is not class- hes good, hardworker, but his first touch is awful, and his imgaination is not the same level as Zogs and his passing is almost half hazard and no pace- if we get SWP milner will be benching it.

    Shola-
Poor lad, that might be the last game he plays for newcastle, I hope, he is so lethargic its unreal- he looks half injured- no evident burst of pace, no strength, no awareness - I think carrol may start a few games

    the usual suspects
Carr- I agree he had a good game, showed some heart- but bloody hell canty wait for super Beye to come back

Rozehnal- guys i really dont think he will be playing for us next season- dangerously kamikaze in some of his play- though again i agree better in midfield than Butt or Smith

    Taylor and Cacapa

ok- were not tested, thank god- Cacapa looks like a liabilty- gives needless free kicks- again cant wait for Faye to come back

wish lua lua come on earliar- looked like a livewire and that pass almost was splendid looked brave daring too

all in all we have t accept that we have issue- let us thank godthat we have a manager and chairman that know this and are prepared to do what is necessary to bring silverware, however long that maybe (3 1/2 years)

  • 38 Greg P // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:49

Bring back Faye/Beye and stop the liabilities of Cacapa and Carr and I’ll be much happier!

  • 39 ToonRich // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:49

@Obafan, Deco is/was a great player…I’m just not sure what his motives would be to play for us. How old is he now, 30? He’s never really made a song and dance about playing in the EPL, so perhaps only money would get him to SJP. I’d personally like to see some one younger fill the gap, someone with bags of pace, strength and tricks :-D

    any suggestions on that?

  • 40 phoonCK // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:50

Kevin, they probably just didnt want to be caught in a human traffic jam if all were to leave together. and some might have night programs? hahaa.. but stil, i enjoyed tonight’s game. with that line up, i thot we played decent, and we finally PLAYED how football shld be played

    Howay the Lads

  • 41 Tom_Toon // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:51

Pace, Tricks = van der Vaart/Diego/Many (thats why i mention Chikhaoui for AMC, because many dont have strength)
Pace, Tricks, and Super Strength = Chikhaoui

    Id buy:
    van Buyten
    Vukojevic
    Chikhaoui/van der Vaart (unlikely)
    Kuranyi

  • 42 Mike // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:52

Kevin Keegan is a self opinionated disaster, only listens to himself and does not heed any advice

  • 43 Hadrian // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:52

Its a big slap in the face , that’s what sam would have turned us into ……

  • 44 ToonRich // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:54

Tom_Toon, I was waiting for you to post Chikhaoui’s name up! I couldnt remember how to spell it!!! I youtube’d him the other night you were raving on about him, he certainly has power/pace/and skill, definately someone that would be a crowd pleaser inside SJP.

  • 45 Tom_Toon // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:56

Hes unique cos he can do everything a great attacing midfielder can do, but hes got height and a lot of strength, which is great for the prem.

  • 46 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:57

ToonRich - Deco is 30 (just searched it on wikipedia) and will be 31 in August. But I think he can have a couple of good years for us. But perhaps his motivation to come to play for the Toon is not the right one.

For younger players, I defo rate these:
    - Van der Vaart
    - Arshavin
    - Diego (would be huge if he came, but I can’t see that happen)

    Greg P; I really can’t follow your opinion on Owen and Cacapa;
    - Owen did not get the balls he needs to do something with
    - Cacapa didn’t lose possession (Taylor lost more possession than him today) and had a few stupid decisions against him.

  • 47 Hadrian // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:57

get a list of joga bonito players drawn up tom , well send em to kev

  • 48 micepie // Jan 19, 2008 at 19:58

I didn’t think it was a good peformance, but KK has inherited a side lacking in confidence and flow. If I remember rightly, didn’t we lose 1-0 at home to Spurs or something in KK’s first game after we’d been promoted in the early 90’s?

There is reason to hope. Sides often prey on any team’s fear and lack on confidence, making it harder for that team to get out of a rut but if we can just get a lucky break - or even a wonder goal - it should make a big difference!

  • 49 ToonRich // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:02

I’ve always liked VD Vaart and Diego, and from what I’ve seen of Arshavin he looks good. But I’ve heard negative comments re: his dicipline, we dont need another hot head in the team - Smudge gets enough bookings for the rest of them!

  • 50 Tom_Toon // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:03

I dont think VDV and Diego are ever possible, Kahlenberg is a good possibility though.

  • 51 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:03

Tom_Toon - I finally watched that Chikhaoui dude that you always mention and I must admit he looks a very strong technical player.

  • 52 dragoner // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:04

honestly people, we weren’t bad today and not one player in our squad should be disappointed with themself. Bolton were organised and stuck to their pathetic little gameplan very well, and it takes high quality players to provide a break through against those sort of tactics, lets face it, we dont have many high quality players at the minute.

Rozenhal looked good in DM, Zoggy was better once he started trying to take on a few players, defence was solid, and ameobi played better than i expected. We just need to sign a few top class players thats all.

  • 53 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:05

To all those southern fookin arseholes, especialy those who pay to sprout a load of shit on ‘youre on sky sports’, who say Newcastle are NOT A BIG CLUB, i will say this: go and play with your ‘minute’ little penises and take all your pig ugly faces for a shite. WE ARE FOOKIN HUUUUUUUUUUUGE!
    Have some of that!

  • 54 Hadrian // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:07

some of our passes were daft , quick one two’s at the back without movement , it was pointless and only gave them more time to close down and narrow the angles , really strange to watch , can imagine kev going nuts cos he’s all about passing and moving .
sooner he gets the 8 a side sorted the better , we may start seeing some one toutch footie .

  • 55 big pea ov the weab // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:10

come on lads that was crap ok bolton set up shop early on but no quick fix to this garbage we r playing

  • 56 Andy1 // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:11

It was an awful game and a disappointing start to his new reign but we got a point and a clean sheet. But it shows that Keegan needs to improve in all areas. Rozehnal had a decent game but there was no movement and urgency from any players off the ball and all the possession was slow and aimless.

You can’t play attacking and exciting football without being able to pass and move into space. N’Zogbia looks a bit lost in the middle and seems to lack confidence. I saw Keegan shouting, ‘Charlie, Charlie… You can do it’. He is probably best on the left midfield and we need to buy quality experienced midfielders who can pass.

Milner works hard but should not be in the first team of any premiership team. His crossing is abysmal. One time he had three chances to get the ball in and in the end we managed to get a corner. He lacks the pace or a trick to beat a man and we need to buy in a top quality right winger. When Lua Lua was on - he looked far more positive and exciting and showed good vision in looking for a decisive pass.

Duff just isn’t good enough at the moment and I doubt he will get anywhere near the standard he was playing at a couple of seasons ago. Same thing with Owen - while he tries to find his sharpness we are carrying a useless, lightweight player who is less likely than nearly every other striker in the league to score a goal. (Only Shola is less likely - he plays at walking pace - and so does Enrique -what’s that all about)

But these players are big names and pretty much have to play if there available. While this is the case we suffer. We need to stop bringing in big names on big wages that always under perform. Anyone with pace will always have more effect in the premiership, especially in an under performing team.

  • 57 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:18

LuaLua looks good, brilliant vision. We need quality, Van Der Varrt and a few solid centre halfs

  • 58 Black and White Blood // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:21

Again Duff just didn’t turn up tonight for me. It is actually noticeable that the players have a major confidence problem - they pass the ball and just stop, no off the ball movement whatsoever, its as if they are afraid of falling out of position..!

Keep things in perspective, missing numerous first team players - players and styly improved as the game progressed - KK only had two days training, yet we still come away with a point..!!!

    Good times ahead!

  • 59 James // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:23

For all those that had been calling for Shola to be given another chance….hopefully you can now see why the rest of us want him sold. All he cares about is a paycheck. No interest in putting in any work for the team and is not even PL quality.

Milner is crap. No beating around the bush on that one. The amount of times Owen made great runs into the 6 yard box waiting for the cross and Milner hit it into the defender was too much.

We all know we need QUALITY players. Now Keegan will see the same.

    Positives:

    1) First clean sheet at home since Sep

    2) We won’t have to watch Shola again (Keegan will get rid of him)

    3) Enrique is getting better with each game

    4) Lua Lua is going to be a superstar

    5) Rozenhal is a good Defensive Midfielder

  • 60 Gareth // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:25

Bolton got exactly what they came for - 0-0, and we’re not good enough yet that we could break them down. We didn’t get the ball wide enough, and although Rozenhal did well enough from a defensive standpoint, as a midfielder he was incredibly deep and not much help going forward, although given the available players there wasn’t much could be done about that.

Unfortunately I have the feeling the 6 prem games without a win will turn into at least 9, our upcoming fixtures are pretty tough.

  • 61 Ashton // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:26

We should sign with a decent RW cause milner is crap

  • 66 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:35

What about Pablo Aimar to be the solution of our creative midfield problems??

  • 67 Tooner // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:36

Ameobi was only playing for the call today. He went down cheaply in the box twice. The second one should have been a card for simulation (diving), he made no effort on the ball and ran into the defender and went down with his hands up. Utter crap, no service to Owen, only tried for the headers which were way off.

Zog - Needs to release the ball earlier, runs too far and gets caught by defenders with nowhere to go.

Milner - Delivery was poor, but he really put a lot of effort in so I can’t slate him too much.

Enrique - Decent, looked complacent a few times and got caught for it.

Taylor and Cacapa - played well in defense, Taylor gave away possession too many times and Cacapa got caught out a few times.

Carr - Better than he usually was, still has a bad habit of taking out players on 50/50 balls. We will get punished for this in the future.

Rozehnal - I liked what I saw for him in CM. He had a couple killer balls that opened up an ultra defensive Bolton. Could do well in the position with some more refining.

Owen - Maybe 10 touches? No service from Ameobi, had one chance and did well to get to it, but first touch was ugly.

    Duff was nothing special.

  • 68 Obafan // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:38

I’m glad that some of you are starting to see that Milner is an average player. We need a winger that can cross the ball ino the box. Milner turns and turns and turns again and then his crosses get blocked or are too far or in the goalkeeper his hands.

    OVERRATED!!!

  • 69 Tom_Toon // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:38

Obafan, hes out for the next 3 months with an injury, and hes ageing.

  • 70 Ashton // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:39

    Tom_Toon

i agree he is just what we need

i’m sick of milner he is waste of f**kin space i know he is a local lad etc … but he is crap crap crap !

sign with the yanke now !

  • 71 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:40

STOP slagging Milner off, hes class. if he had scored the winner tonite you would be singing his praises

  • 72 Tom_Toon // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:40

Milner annoys me, he runs like a rhino with his head down, cant pass very well, punts the ball for a pass, cant cross - especially from the right, not too much skill, not amazingly quick either.

  • 73 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:42

hes class, and you know he is!

  • 74 Black and White Blood // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:43

Has anyone ever explained what Offside is to Shola..? He’s got to go, he’s all legs!!!

  • 75 Tooner // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:44

85th minute - Ameobi goes down faster than 5 dollar hooker. The defining moment when Ameobi’s Newcastle United career ended.

  • 76 Midd The Yid // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:44

You loy really are rubbish you couldn’t beat bolton at home.

We did well we beat the biggest club in the north east 2 - 0 today.

    Bring back freddy shepherd

  • 77 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:45

I agree BLACK N WHITE, Bambi is shit and we must get rid, unlike Milner who is fookin class!

  • 78 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:47

fook off midd the yid, go n suck shepheards small willy you arsehole

  • 79 Black and White Blood // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:47

ronaldeano - I’m with you tonight, now that’s a suprise!! Milner is a class act, form dipped a little recently but still give s100% effort! Just wished there was more off the ball movement by all the players!!!

  • 80 James // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:48

MILNER IS CRAP….and Keegan saw that tonight. He will be one of the first ones replaced this month.

If I was a centre forward like Owen and am running around in the box waiting for the ball and watching Milner run round in circles I think I’d punch him. For all centre forwards Milner is a nightmare.

  • 81 Midd The Yid // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:48

When you realise that you are a small, poor scottish team the better.

  • 82 Midd The Yid // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:50

    losers

    your whole team is crap

  • 83 The black in the blacknwhite // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:50

sorry boys, milner would struggle to get into any of the top 6 teams

he lacks finesse….he is not a local lad, Leeds

but ui dont hate hime, he has a good right foot, but he really needs to sharpen up on his first touch a nd ball control- all i know is that King Kev likes pace- Gillespie, ruel fox etc) he will have to help Milner develop, if not i hope he can find a suitable replacement

Duff is so frustrating at the mo, we know hes pedigree but something just seems to be missing from his current game

  • 84 ronaldeano // Jan 19, 2008 at 20:51

Milner does give 100% for this club mate, but that MIDD THE FOOKIN YID has pissed me off tonite the knob, saying BRING BACK FFS? What a fookin dick!
