Gareth Southgate is without injured duo Tuncay and Mido, while record signing Afonso Alves is still awaiting a visa, but Emanuel Pogatetz and Lee Cattermole are in the side.
It looks like Emre will play on the right wing in an orthodox 4-4-2 formation.

Would have preferred Emre for Barton, and Milner on right wing - and Viduka for Smith - but we’re think the subs will have a fair part of the game in second half - when we’re 3-0 up.

We REALLY need a midfielder who is happy and confident enough to run at players rather than dither on the ball. I thought Emre was that man, but he’s been poor today as well. How sad it is to think that we almost Diarra as well, who was brilliant against Chelsea yesterday!!

I wish the commentators on games would stop bleeting on about Owen’s lack of match fitness! He’s had long enough to get match fit - the fact is that he’s nowhere near as good as what he was years ago - and he’s never going to be that good again!!
