Adam Sadler was recently appointed Newcastle Reserve Team Manager, and he will become an important cog in the Newcastle wheel as he will be in charge of most of our exciting up and coming youngsters at the club.

Most of the youngsters are starting to play regularly in the Reserve team, and Sadler will be in charge of their football development to a very large extent.
Sadler talked first about his captain, Canadian David Edgar’s performance last Monday night against Manchester City:
“David was magnificent and continues to show the potential he’s got.” “Who knows where David will end up in football?”
“Hopefully, it will be in Newcastle United’s first team, and with performances like the one he gave against Man City he will certainly have caught the manager’s eye.”
As you may know we are big fans of David, and hope if he stays with us through the end of the season, he will get a couple of run outs in the first team. Sadler also talked about his other many young stars, who will become regulars in the Reserves side.
Sadler continued:
“We’ve got people like Fraser Forster, who has been pulling off big saves all season.” “And then you have Tamas (Kadar) and Wesley (Baheng), who are looking like very good finds for this club.”
“It is experience they need and that is what they are getting every time in the FA Premier Reserve League.”
The Newcastle Reserves are due to to play Liverpool Reserves at St. James’ Park on Monday evening, with a 7 PM kick off. The Reserves are on a three-game unbeaten run right now, and Liverpool will gave our lads a stern test. Sadler says his boys are looking forward to the test:
“There is a real rapport building right through this group of players.” “That was demonstrated against Man City.”
“We stuck together right until the death and it was against some real quality opposition.” “I do believe that a draw was a fair result.” “This will kick-start our season.”
“We have proved that we can match the more experienced teams even though we’ve got a lot of youngsters learning the game here.”
Looks like the game on Monday night will be worth a visit for those who can make it to the game. It’s a good chance to see the lads in action, and some of these will be likely starters in the team within a couple of years. It’s always good to see them before they make it into the big time - and some of them certainly will.

It could well be worth a watch - let us know who looks good if you do go - of course Liverpool will have some young stars of their own on display. They won the FA Youth Cup last year - again.

I’ll probably go to watch this, even if it is just the reserves I’d love to see us beat those scruffy tramps, I hate everything about that club.

anyone see fletcher for man u today?
Unreal how well he played, i thought he was shit but he is starting to look quite a promising youngster. I dont think he will get a look at man u with all the players they have there maybe we cud get him for a small fee and he cud be a good attacking winger for us, a def keegan player. I would have to see him a few more times though but he dont get many chances but he played well above his game today.

We were even bettter in 1927 when Gallagher played for us. Does not give us the right to be any good now. We have to make massive improvements to attract the best. KK only knows the UK market which is the dearest, and the best and cheapest players are African.

I thought Manure were up against an Arsenal team who were basically disinterested.
The stupid chanting against Sir Alan towards the end of the game was infantile and typical of arrogant, spoilt fans who don’t appreciate a great player.
I hope United stuff them next weekend.

NUFC siging comedians now. I heard the dressing room was a miserable place to be in, but i did not think it was that bad. Well Adam Sadler is a great comedy actor but surely it would have been cheaper to have bought a box set of dvds and just kept playing them. Start with Happy Gilmore.
