Newcastle United emerging stars Andy Carroll and Ryan Donaldson have both received England call ups for this month’s international games.

Ryan Donaldson - in England Under-17 squad
Andy Carroll is again included in the Under-19 squad for the friendly game with Russia at MK Dons on March 25.
And fellow local lad Ryan Donaldson will travel to Israel with the England Under-17 squad for a qualifying tournament ahead of May’s European Championships in Turkey.
The England Under-17 side is due to face hosts, France and Russia in Tel Aviv between March 25th and March 30th.

Our youngsters are the most exciting thing going on at the club right now, and it’s especially satisfying since both Andy and Ryan are Geordies.
We wish them both every success in their upcoming games.
Comments welcome.

We could see Donaldson tonight. He’s on the bench for the reserves with Soderberg and Zamblera starting for the 1st time.

Sounds like Diatta deal may be done . However he left Besiktas by mutual consent 5 months into a 2 yr contract . His Senegal manager said there was something not right with the player , and so he was not played hardly in the africa nations cup . Brummies didn’t need him . Kevin needs him badly what more can we say . A thirty two year old with committment flaws , speaks volumes for our world pulling power ! Even if he is teamed up with his mates Habib beye and others , he better shape up sharp or we are Coca Cola boooond !
Sorry guys , but I don’t see much hope at Liverpool maybe the next game ……..

pulling power… what has him coming to newcastle have to do with our lack of pulling power, be fair we were slow in january, and you cant fault keegan for that, but we have sorted a player out till the end of the season who has left his club, he just might help us stay up.
so hold judgement on him.
NB well done to the geordie boys
