Sir Bobby Robson’s new foundation will fund cancer research and treatment, a cause close to his heart after contracting cancer five times, including inoperable tumors in his lungs.

The great man cast in bronze
The hope of the foundation is to raise an initial £500,000 to fund 12-bed treatment rooms, a laboratory, and consulting rooms for a new Cancer Care Center at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital, though he has no intention of stopping there.
We’d like to help wherever we can and were pleased to see our other Newcastle fans’ sites, such as Newcastle-Online, fully support this cause yesterday. Donations can be made here or by mailing a check to:
Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, PO Box 307, Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE7 7QG. England.
Thank you.

its such a good cause i certainly will be mailing some money over to help the cause… and i would ask everyone else to do what they can, because im sure everyone in there lives will be affected by cancer in one shape or another whether it is them or a dear family member.
i am always generous when it comes to cancer research uk but this venture because it is being headed by a hero i will certainly scrape that bit more together
