Newcastle United Reserves will play Blyth Spartans in the final of the Northumberland Senior Cup at St. James’ Park tonight.
Fraser Forster - talented goalkeeper is oldest man on team at 20
Newcastle will again be fielding a very young side against Blyth tonight and we think the average is 18. Newcastle’s promising coach Adam Sadler wants that trophy - and said today:
“We will have a young side against Blyth, so physically there may be a “mismatch”, but we will go into the game with confidence,”
“People will expect the quality of our players - and rightly so - to be better than most of the non-league clubs.” “But the test is playing against physically stronger players who also have a good level of quality.”
“We know Blyth are a very good non-league club with a really good history, and good people running the club on and off the pitch.”
“This competition is a great experience for the players and we are all very much looking forward to the Final, especially as it is as St.James’ Park in front of a good crowd with first-class surroundings.”
Newcastle line-up with the following side, which has an average age of 18 years, and all teenagers except for old man Forster, who turned 20 last month:

unlucky 51times, i suffer from insomnia also, its a real bitchm i only had 3 hours last nite. i found its good to go on a jog before bed and do some sit ups press ups too, it gets your blood flowing and excess energy burned off….
also a good tip is to tence ur muscles up in sequence starting from your toes and gradually up ur body through ur leg muscles up to you chest and neck through ur arms and hands, it works amazingly.
just remember when you get to the next muscle to relax the one before it otherwise you will just end up red in the face.

I’m currently on 2 days without sleep…I’ll try that muscle thing tonight. Anything to avoid bloody sleeping pills.

I once saw a taping of a Leeds match from the 60’s/70’s, slipped into a coma for a few months afterwards. In my dreams Jack Charlton and his boys chased me around a football pitch, kicking and pushing me. It was truely horrendous.

hey i live in blyth and it will be a test for the toon kids as blyth have some massive strikers up front
robbie dale who scored like 34 goals last season is a major threat to the kids..
i be there as a nuteral as i support both blyth and newcastle…
