Before you dismiss that as an exaggeration, consider that we’ve been up for only four months and that we are already the best Newcastle blog in the business. We claimed that the first day and we proved it, and we’re going to prove it again to you how kick-ass our stats page is going to be.
Take a look – right now it’s simple and only has summary stats – in the future it’ll have a lot more, I promise.
Feedback is most welcome.

Comment #3ED ive said it before, on the right hand side you have all this info, but what you need is a snap shot of the league table with 2 or three teams above and below NUFC so we can keep up to date without having to go to skysports or bbc 😀 you could easily fit it in between the ‘recent entries’ and ‘catagories’ would be a great addition.
apart from that ’tis a good site.

Comment #7Rich, pretty uncalled for those comments about money. You obviously know very little about websites going by you asking how much Ed is making.
First of all, Ed does this Blog because he loves NUFC. He was born here in the City of Newcastle Upon Tyne, although he now lives in the USA.
I can assure you that with the few ads ED is running on his site, he will be getting a lot less per month than you or I.
Ed virtually runs the whole Blog on his own, and is up at all hours (TIME DIFFERENCE), keeping the Blog as up to date as possible. If Ed was being paid by someone to do this site he would get in excess of £50K per year.
Ed does not make money of us. If ED was making money as you put it, we would be paying to visit the site, but no it is fre.
Ed probably puts in some where in the region of 16 hours or more per day on his site and the reward financialy, is definately not there. It may be if he gets 100,000 hits per day but not currently.
This Blog is a labour of love so please do not try to be clever and insult ED, he does not deserve it.

Ed is deffo making money off of this site, if he isn’t then he is stupid. I for one don’t mind as I like the content. I am not saying money is his only motivation he is obviousley a supporter but you can’t blame him for trying to make a couple of quid (or dollars?) on the side.
That aside, I too think that he needs the league table on the right hand side as well as upcoming fixtures.

Comment #9Pete, like Rich, you are both terribly wrong.
He is neither stupid nor trying to make a living, because if you knew Ed, you would sharp know how stupid and unfounded your comments are.
Ed is doing the Blog for purely his love of NUFC.
But either way, how would you like it if your earings were in the public domain, How much do you earn. How many pints do you drink a week. None of our business. I thought not.
If you had a Blog and some one wanted to advertise you would say yes no doubt. How would you feel if you were accused of only doing it for the money. Trust me, unless you have a mega big site with a miriad of visitors you are never going to make a living, so come on, give the man credit for doing something he loves and not for the money.

Comment #13woaaaah their George, i was being facetious!!!
but if you want to debate this then im sure Ed makes some money otherwise their wouldnt be ads, depending on his bandwidth costs etc… he may use this as his overhead for running the site.
but i was not begrudging him any money or glory, this is a great site and i HOPE Ed is making money off it. I didnt mean it as a bad comment!!!!
any way i just meant it as a reference to the adverts going up, and for google ads to go up must mean his net ranking is going up which again is great!
i didnt mean anything negative!
and i know plenty about message board websites, my mate setup a small message board and he now grosses about £80K p.a. from advertising etc… he has been offered a few hundered thousand pounds for it but is holding out for a 6 figure sum, which is all from people like us posting on his message board!!! but once again i dont begrudge him a penny his site is really good and he deserves the cash, just like Ed does.
i thought the 😀 shows you that im joking, maybe i have to spell it out from now on.

Comment #14read your comments again george and i am not trying to insult Ed at all.
If Ed agress ive insulted him then i apologise, i just meant it as a joke regarding the Adverts as I said in previous post he probably uses this to offset his bandwidth costs. i dont begrudge him a penny, great site, great articles and mostly great posters.
P.S.The $ is worth less than it was this morning, the devaluation continues!

Comment #15I hadn’t even considered that Ed was doing this as a money making effort, it’s pretty obvious to me that he he is an exiled Toon supporter like myself and wants to have some input and be in touch with like minded people. I have to confess I never look at the stats and just like to be part of the great Geordie nation. Although hailing from Dunston i’m not sure if I qualify as a Geordie. Incidently where I work there are people from Sunderland who call themselves Geordies, bl**dy cheeky bu***ers.

Comment #16Living in the states, I’ve done a lot of searching for NUFC commentary, info, and updates. This quickly became my favorite fan site b/c of the excellent content, combined with the fact it is update so often.
If he’s making money running this site, that’s just fine. All the power to him. I only hope he isn’t losing money, b/c I think this site is a wonderful resource.
Howay the NUFCblog.com !

Comment #17were all getting a bit away from the subject here, i just meant the money comment as a joke towards all the ads popping up, but some random took the wrong end of the stick and thought i was having a digg at Ed when all i am is very grateful for him for creating this great website.
NUFCblog.com has is now my first visit when before it ws NUFC.com.
once eagain great site Ed but it would be great to see that snippet of the table down the right hand side 🙂

Comment #20Rich, I am afraid it seems to be the times we live in where it is becoming difficult to make a joke or even a comment without becoming public enemy number one it’s PC gone mad. Just look at Saturdays game, I do not know the full details but get the impression that it was fairly harmless mickey taking and the Toon fans become labelled as racist bigots which is obvously a load of tosh. And if Ed ever does become an internet billionaire perhaps he could buy the Toon. I could suggest some players if he does!!
